BIOQUÉBEC AND MONTRÉAL INVIVO CREATE A PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT THE SUCCESS OF QUEBEC’S BIOTECHNOLOGY AND LIFE SCIENCES COMPANIES
SENNEVILLE (Québec) December 4, 2014 – BIOQuébec and Montréal InVivo have joined forces to promote the Mentorat bioSuccès network and to simplify access for current BIOQuébec members.
Nearly 50% of the industry’s private sector employees work at small and medium businesses. For the owners and executives of these companies, having the support of an experienced mentor can greatly improve their chance of success.
“Small and medium businesses are the crucial foundation of our industry’s ecosystem. I am thrilled that our entrepreneurs now have easier access to a network, to expertise, and to customized support to help them develop their full potential,” states Anie Perrault, BIOQuébec’s Executive Manager.
“As of today, 25 Québec businesses have been paired with mentors from our network. By referring to their own experiences in the biotechnology and life sciences industry, they can guide their mentees towards more effective decision-making and help them to break the isolation they often feel. This partnership with BIOQuébec will allow us to reach a wider range of companies. The entire industry will benefit”, says Michelle Savoie, president and CEO of Montréal InVivo.
A joint promotion from Mentoral bioSuccès and a discount on the annual network membership fee for BIOQuébec members are elements of this agreement.
