$500 million for the growth of SMBs

Last month, the committee headed by Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau which focuses on economic growth, recommended that a fund worth more than $500 million be created to make it easier for SMBs to access funding. 

This fund could invest more than $1 billion over the next decade. More than $500 million are earmarked for the first year and this amount could double over the next nine years, depending on demand and on the fund’s success.
